Hello Zack, how are you doing?
I'm doing well. Is my audio OK?
Uh, just scramble on for a bit, see what happens.
Will try try to headphones.
Yeah, I wasn't sure if I should plug in headphones or not, but headphones are kind of weird 'cause I don't have. Well, I don't wanna be like feel like I'd be yelling if I had headphones in, so I'm going to keep headphone, yeah?
'cause I don't have a mic on these ones.
It's weird being on campus when no ones here also.
And how we look at ghost town?
At almost 9:00 o'clock at night.
Yeah, so standard stuff per usual.
We have about 100 people signed up for tonight.
So it's gonna be a good time.
See I was thinking this will wrap up around 9:35.
So around 9:35, Jordan will hop on and just say who's winning raffle 'cause?
Every student, every admitted student tuning in tonight gets a free pair of socks.
Or two lucky viewers, I don't know, the number will receive gift card.
Zach, how are you tired? It's like 6:00 o'clock where you are at.
However bio classes online.
Yeah, just it's the same same amount of workload.
Except this involves like more self discipline than before, 'cause there's no classes to go too well there are, but mode. Two of mine are one of My 3 classes, pre recorded. Another one is like no lecture at all. She's just having us read the book and then another one is live.
So it's kind of varied but.
Yes, I did a lot of work today.
Let me text florecita unlikable.
Up floor seat is on here.
Hi my name is Dane Litchfield. I'm 19 years old.
And I got a basketball game tomorrow.
I like this is good enerji guys.
I just had some caffeine Sir, all good.
I haven't had caffeine in forever. Well, yeah. Do you like 3 average? Because only during school time do I drink caffeine if I need too. You know I don't drink it all at home.
Did you? I don't know if anybody saw the the cool news today about a axle.
A Venezuela or is that actually is on the soccer team.
He's been drafted to play for South Bend Lions.
Yeah, so that's pretty cool, yeah?
Hopefully John what time did you Teller Lake Abellan Florecita to be here?
How Florentine is on here? Looks like she just needs to broadcast. Yep, there she had.
Oh, why have I turned red? Oh, never mind.
I just text like about. She said she clicked on the email, he said today.
And, uh, it's not letting her login.
John caller please and have around your phone.
I'm going to reset her password.
Hey Lake, about how you doing.
Oh, it's not only it told me that I had been blocked from this account.
What's going on? Jordan, you have any input on that?
So John Teller. I just reset her password to L Abul, so try to log in with her new new password, L Abul.
Did you hear that? Try logging into your password L abul.
My username is also in my past.
No problem Leanne, just open up my block.
It's just saying she's blocked.
The email that I just sent to.
Ask her if she is or is not able to log in.
She's not able to log in.
It's saying she's blocked.
Like did she get past the login though or?
Did you get past the login?
When I put in my username in the past, but essentially to this paper says that the block.
So yes, it's sends it to a page. It says she's been blocked.
Then, uh, try working in the background to see.
'cause Jordan you're not actually on the screen and we can just glance over and have her join an.
And no way for the owner to just go in and like unblock me.
So I don't know how you're being bored.
Yeah, when you say you're blocked I I really don't understand what that means, uhm?
Is it telling you you have the wrong password?
Can you can you take a screenshot?
Yeah, take a screenshot and send it.
Alright, like well, I'm actually going to text Jordan your number and you guys can figure this offline will just glance over it since it's a minute till broadcast OK.
And John, I need to get off.
They will the good people.
Yeah, I think the screen she sends a screenshot and he'll be able to figure something out.
Yeah, and it's just like last time too, alright?
Yeah, is there anyway you can adjust your lighting or something?
Maybe put it pointed up a little bit more. Yeah, that's better, that's better, yeah.
Here we go. Everyone's logging in right now.
Alright, we'll give it a given one full minute before we officially begin, so that way everyone can be logged in this great. See you guys here.
Got John Brown from Michigan. This is fantastic.
Not from all over the country. The world got some from Canada.
Will gather everyone a minute to log in and will officially begin. I appreciate you guys being here and TuneIn.
Indiana, Tennessee New Jersey. Wow, that's a cool spread.

Well, I spend most of my time in campus ministry, whether it be at studying meetings or sometimes on Wednesday afternoons, you may actually need to take the occasional map in there, but that's on a rare occasion. But yes, they're very. That is a great place to hang out with friends.
They got that huge beanbag too in campus ministry. So nice.

¡Hola a tod@s!
Fantastic, so the way for our audience members to understand how this works. I'll just ask him a few generic questions that we get an oma little bit more aside from just what they do, and then we'll open up to you guys to just type in whatever questions that you may have for our fine students here today. So we'll start out with a very basic one for all of our guests here. How do you learn about Holy Cross will start with Zach, 'cause you're all the way from out from California. So how did you find out?
Mikayla LaPlaca
09:05:28 PM
Hi! Nice to meet you guys!
Yeah, mine was pretty simple. Uhm, my dad knew about it through the movie Rudy, which everyone here is about often and I was applying to Notre Dame at first and I also knew that Holy Cross was a good school because I started researching a little more and I saw that right campus set up. The college had with Saint Mary's with Notre Dame and Holy Cross. I thought that was pretty nifty when I was looking through college is so I thought, OK, I'll apply there as well. And lo and behold, I didn't get into Notre Dame.
But I got into Holy Cross and.
I found out that like my community, I found my community at Holy Cross, so I decided to say Holy Cross.
Fantastic, I'm glad even that's one of the main things about Holy Cross is this sense of community will move over to Dane Dane. How did you hear about lacrosse?
So yeah, I heard about Holy Cross back in 2016 in the server, my freshman year of high school. Whenever the college debuted it's Summer Theology Institute for Highschoolers Saints and scholars to see some of our guests here have been participants in the past, but I went the very first year that they did it and it changed my life. Not only relies make me realize I wanted to go into theology.
But it really tide together the they fly for me to how I was as a student, my academic life and ever since then Holy Cross has become a home as a place for me to really grow in both of those aspects. And so it was really very hard to choose, only crossed for the next four years.

09:06:48 PM
Hello!
Hey, I'm glad I mean like you said, we got a lot of students in the chat right now who have attended Saints and scholars, so I'm sure you're definitely a friendly face to them. Florecita, what about you? You're from Chicago, so you're kind of the closest person. How do you find out about Holy Cross?
Gabriana Schommer
09:07:08 PM
yes saints and scholars!
Nick Pallotto
09:07:10 PM
I'm from Chicago too
Yeah, so I actually went say Holy Cross High School and so is called Holy Trinity High School and being there we always talked about the brothers of Holy Cross and how it came to be. and I was blessed enough to take Holy Cross Leadership Conference in at Holy Cross College. And you know I saw the campus. I was able to spend about two weeks in, you know.
Storm and I think as I always like to explain it, it is far enough from home, but it's also close enough and it is I consider it my home away from home.
That's fantastic. I love hearing students when they say only crosses their second home and we just kind of sad when I'm here in the office, but no students here on campus 'cause of the times. But anyways, we want to main thing we talked about is being a part of this strike aims community of Notre Dame Indiana with Ner Dame St Mary's. How have you guys been involved in the Tri campus?
Jenni Duran
09:08:11 PM
I love Florecita! She was my host
Yeah, um my freshman year I really jumped into that club day. They have at Notre Dame. I signed up for way too many clubs. Didn't sign up for like 50 plus, but that's good because they have so many different things that are offered at another name for club wise. The main things I've stuck with throughout the years is martial Arts Institute Institute. They have a club where you get to Thai Kwando in jujitsu and right now I'm a Brown belt in that Institute and you know it's a wonderful community.
Cool experience, just to be able to do martial arts for low cost and not as much as a time of a time commitment. I also got involved in a Bible Study Group my freshman year as well.
Really, I never knew they had a martial arts club.
Yeah it's really cool but it's not like they have like big senses 2 kind of higher Upton says that come in for testing and they show off some really really really advanced moves and it's kind of inspiring.
Yeah, there's definitely something for everyone in Dane. What about you?
Yeah, I don't write in like House acted freshman year with campus community, especially at the University of Notre Dame not only just being a sore and fellow now, I am also heavily involved with the Knights of Columbus Council across the street and Notre Dame with their stake sale, steak sandwich sales for home football games. and I also went on Notre Dame's first year retreat, which is after speaking classes. You go on a weekend long retreat with your.
Tell a freshman it's open to everybody on the try campus. That's a freshman, so that was really good. And then obviously being able to as a Holy Cross students it in the ner Dame football section for the students was a great addition to my freshman year and something I really have made a lot of memories doing.
Yeah, so um, I have definitely spend a lot more time at another day. Anna Notre Dames campus, but I have been very lucky to have my best friend go to Saint Mary's so I occasionally go this make a trip over there, but also because I am minoring in Spanish.
Andrew Packard
09:10:26 PM
Anyone here a Driscoll Scholar?
I will have the opportunity to take classes over at Saint Mary's, so that would be nice to have. You know all the different experience of going from a much smaller classroom size as we have a Holy Cross tickle tell much bigger size so but also I Notre Dame. I go to mass and maybe roommate sometimes over there and they have their Spanish Mass. I found myself going to the grotto alot. I was very lucky to make friends over there through different friends here Holy Cross and something I always.
Going to Notre Dame is great. You know, being able to spend time over there a couple hours, but knowing that you get to come back to look across to your room, to secret dining Hall is definitely a great feeling.
Catherine Ficker
09:11:15 PM
great question, one of our panelists was planning to be present who is a Driscoll scholar, but she is having connectivity issues
And something you guys I'm surprised any guys mentioned is the nurding sporting events on the big draws at Holy Cross is you get nurding football tickets for pretty reasonably priced, so that's one of the fun things I did when I was a student is go out and just watch the chair on the Irish and so will ask one more question before we open it up to the audience. 'cause I know the students are getting little.
Will answer you wanna know what has been your favorite Holy Cross memory so far?
I can go first I think I have one. This one also ties into like that other question about how, how have you seen yourself grow as an individual? It went on the retreat through campus ministry. My fall semester of my freshman year and I had had a profound experience during adoration which marks like my favorite memory so far at Holy Cross. Where, yeah, you know that was like a pivotal point in my faith formation.
Was that that that retreat and it's all been uphill from there in growing because of the community and the faith formation at Holy Cross offers through access, through mentorship, mentorship through the professors and the friends you make. So that was my favorite memory.
Catherine Ficker
09:12:23 PM
oh, I see, Andrew, I misunderstood, I do believe we have Driscoll Scholars present attending!

I am, Andrew!
Kevin Lauducci
09:12:38 PM
Andrew I am
Favorite memory would probably have to be at the beginning of this past freshman year, so over welcome week in the first day whenever you move in Holy Cross says this ceremony where they line up the entire freshman class on side of our Gateway Arch and then they won by one, say your name and you walk through and are welcomed into the Holy Cross community. Just finally after four years of wanting to go to Holy Cross and finally walking through the Gateway Arch, being welcomed home is probably better for memory so far 'cause it really sealed.
In that I'm finally here, and so it was really just a special place in my heart.
Yeah, we're super glad to have you here Dane. And what about you florecita?
Stella Mancini
09:13:03 PM
Are there any Gateway students here?
I think I have so many, but so far from this semester this year I think one of them has something have to be getting so close to our staff and specifically like admissions, I would go in and just say hi, catch up with everyone so it to Ron Jon Marine like I was telling them about my day. And you know.
Ryan Dougherty
09:13:29 PM
Hi Stella, I am!
Jordan Schank
09:13:34 PM
Hello all! What questions do you have for our students? Type them here!
Updating them all. I took this exam or that exam, so just being able to get to talk to them beyond that just like oh there. You know above me like we're at the same level, so it's yeah, definitely one of my favorite memories so far.
Andrew Packard
09:13:49 PM
Hello Gabriella and Kevin. I am from California.
John Brown
09:13:54 PM
I'm a Driscoll Scholar as well, Andrew
Yeah, I mean, and that's probably one of the bright highlights of our days when you guys are students, stop into our office just to say Hi, 'cause we're here sending out emails to art perspective. Students in the chat, but it's definitely great seeing you guys face to face I'd. So with that we want to open up the questions to the audience. So what you can do is type in the chat whatever questions you may have. Catherine, who's our admissions counselor? She's actually running the chat and monitoring it and social send.
Chosen Name Centellas
09:14:11 PM

Q and A, are any involved in the band at Notre Dame
So question from cabin, is anyone involved in band at Ner Dame?
I'm not, but I know a bunch of people who are.
Yeah, so Kevin, none of the students on this panel are involved in the band, but we have. I want to say around 17 students as a guest to Ron, who's our director of admissions and retention. He was actually in the band. Who's in the trumpets? He had a much better idea and so we do have a good number of Holy Cross students that get involved in the band.
Zacchaeus Greene
09:14:56 PM
how have you guys chosen your majors and minors
We have a question from chaos. How have you guys chosen your majors and minors?
Kevin Stein
09:15:20 PM
Yes, I am an incoming Gateway student
Patrick Sullivan
09:15:26 PM
Hello
Party after that Saints college experience was kind of a no brainer with my miners, though that was a little bit more of a tricky thing. Philosophy just seemed to go really well with theology and that I had a real passion for history and so history seems like a great minor elsewhere to put it. And then visual arts is actually a very last minute decision. Last semester I just decided that.
Do you, my love and my college experience and how the old relates to art, especially after my undergrad here. Early cross. How relate that and so said minor in that.
Yeah, for UM, my decision with biology was really influenced by my desire to go into Medison. Ultimately, my goal is to go to Med school, hopefully and become a physician at this point in my life, and I decided that because biology was offered at Holy Cross, it would be a good path and a good foundation. before I go to Med school so.
Sing that help me decide that yeah.
Justin Friesen
09:16:21 PM
How many courses can I take at Notre Dame? (Obviously I can’t take all of them but is there a limit?)
I mean, for me it was. I always knew psychology was the way to go for me, but Spanish and global perspectives didn't get added until I came to Holy Cross. and I saw that they do offer these travel opportunities and one of them being Peru and so requirement for both global perspectives an for Spanish is to make the trip to Peru. So I'll let you know what I get to travel an ad to minors, so yeah.
And you don't have to officially declare a major until your sophomore year, so that entire freshman you definitely take few of the intro classes and see what fits for you the best. Next, we have a question from Justin. How many courses can he take at Notre Dame? You guys know the answer.
So you take after your sophomore year one semester.
Stella Mancini
09:17:25 PM
Can you talk about the dormitories?
That's right, so you have to have a years worth of credits before and a 30 GPA in order to take one class per semester at Notre Dame and the way that works is you have to make sure there's enough space in the class too.
To be able to be enrolled in there, we have a question from Stella. Can you talk about the dormitories?
Yeah, um, you want to go far?
Yeah, yeah, uh. So there are two a female dormitories, so there's James Hall and then N Hall and then N Hall is mainly is mostly doubles. It is one of the it's actually the newest dormitory we have on campus. Built in 2016 if I'm correct.
And basically, you know it's very much of modern, so you know there's 8C and you have your two beds. You sync your drawers. James, on the other hand, it has been there since, you know, since Holy Cross started. I live in James an. It is mentally singles, so there's three floors.
09:18:31 PM
Once you have 30 credits (which include AP courses from high school), you can take a course each semester at ND.
Cody Walsh
09:18:38 PM
How is the dining hall, are there specific meal plans?
On the 1st floor there's some doubles, so I'm lucky enough to be in a double with my roommate right now, so definitely you know you get to pick some people always ask. Oh, isn't it too hot? In James? There in the beginning months, but honestly, is only ever hot like that. First 2 miles August, September. But after that you know you could just open your window a little that the nice boots come in but yeah.
Yeah, I mean that's why I said I'm a resident assistant in Basel Hall and Basil Horses like James. And, you know, like no way see type of thing but more importantly to me the culture. Especially being NRA for Basil Hall. The culture within Basil Hole is all about his Brotherhood. You form this really cool community with your floor with each floor.
And like inside jokes happen, you can have group chats with your friends like a lot of people start finding their friends through their floors through their dorms. So yeah, I think it's a wonderful like a wonderful community desk created in Basel Hall in in some Hall in South in Pulte. All these different male dorms.
Perfect next we gotta question from Cody. He's asking How is the dining Hall. So there you go guys? How's the food?
Good question, good question.
Rachel Gomez
09:20:24 PM
You mentioned the Notre Dame athletic events, but how are the Holy Cross Athletic Events? Do many students attend?
See our dining is through any dining, so repeating the same recipe that you would across the street and a typical meal plan here at Holy Cross is the 15 meal plan where you get 15 meals week here at Holy Cross. But for about 600 more dollars a semester you can upgrade to the any 19 player where you can either at Holy Cross, South or North Dining Hall over at Notre Dame and in 19 meals a week so you can use them there another name or at Holy Cross.
What is your favorite meal?
Yeah, can I? Oh yeah, Southwest Chicken Salad. Just so good.
Personal pizza night. That is my favorite, yeah?
Also, can I say another thing about the dining Hall? Staff is also wonderful at Holy Cross like I have a handshake with one of the chefs you know. Like they all know you by name and then you talk to them often. It's such a special thing about Holy Cross with the dining Hall staff in my opinion.
Yeah, I mean mean mean is maybe in Shar there every day greeting you as you walk in the door it's fantastic.
Alright, we have a question from Rachel Gomez. Rachel asks, you mentioned that Notre Dame Athletics, but how are the Holy Cross athletic events? Do many students attend?
Basketball game go ahead then.
So yeah, on the Holocaust, student sections, mainly our biggest elect, most electric sporting events are men's and women's basketball. During your typical basketball season, and whenever we get that student section really pumped up, it is just really great to be there. You, the newly revived cross cheerleading squad that I helped revive earlier.
On in the year. Cheering up, saying tube out student section, going wild. And you've got Basil or mascot. The Saint Bernard being his crazy self, something the splits.
Andrew Packard
09:22:21 PM
How long is the walk to and from Notre Dame?
Yeah, it's just about time to be their, uh, uh, especially I remember last are where we be IU South Bend IN University, South Bend. Just that sense of community just exploding at Holy Cross it you could feel it throughout the campus. It was quite a day to get paint and so men's basketball especially is such a great thing to cheer up, correctly cross and especially as we keep going the way we're going with getting into Nationals for the N AIA tournament.
It's just a group to get involved with.
There's also soccer and golf and tennis so you can go to as well for about for games.
We are definitely basketball is the most popular sport that we have.
Andrew asks how long is the walk to and from Notre Dame.
It's 9 minutes if you walk at a normal pace, 3 minutes if you Rollerblade 4 minutes if you bike.
Where where are you going back?
Oh to the rachni gym or yeah, about their so further from. That is about maybe 1012 minute walk to the basilica and the fun in my opinion.
Although he ran with a good day.
From of April, I've got into the Silicon foot in five minutes before, and so it's just all about your Lily and so. But there's also the South Bend Transpo buses they run across the Tri campus, so you can jump on the model to take you through the memories and then take you practically anywhere you need to go in Notre Dame. They'd rather out that you buy the Grotto, the library, and then rock news.

Good question, good questions, so we got a good question from James. This is more so for Zach. How was it adjusting to life in Indiana after coming from California and how is it finding a place where you fit in and found friends?
Sofia McGuiness
09:24:12 PM
What is the best way to virtually visit the campus/ get to know the campus without visiting?
Yeah, James was a great question.
Kevin Peoples
09:24:32 PM
What are some of the fun things to do around campus?
It was, I mean weather wise I have to say I was excited for the weather. I was. I was excited for the challenge of winter and also like seeing in living in snow. Despite the cold. I mean if you bundle up you're doing just fine. Friends wise you find your group at Holy Cross. It has a really nice spread of different like variety of different people personalities that you can like. You will find your community in your friends at Holy Cross.

Yeah Oh yeah. I mean, I know. Like basketball intramurals is just as electric, most times as the actual basketball games.
Patrick Sullivan

What about we have football as well and a volleyball 2?
We have a special question from Tehran Phillips who he mentioned earlier. Yes, what is your favorite HC on campus event?

Do a lot of people use bikes to get around? How tough to get around in the snow?
I think mine would definitely have to be less false eyelashes that Latin. Also needles helps put together, I think because we get to basically where, how, when Mary, Joseph, and.

have any of you studied abroad ? if so how was your experience ?
You know when she was pregnant with baby Jesus how like they call an ask you not to come into someone's home? So our way of doing it is resetting the Chapel and then we go to games and then we go outside to. I think it's Paul to yourself and then we come inside back into the atrium and enjoy some delicious food. I think it definitely brings a sense of community. Plus our faith into like one whole event. and I think that's definitely right.
Nick Pallotto
09:26:30 PM
Does Holy cross have a journalism program?, its something I hope to study
Samantha Dasilva
09:26:33 PM
What do you like to do outside of the tri-campus in South Bend?
Yeah, I was. I had to pause 'cause there's there's a lot of on campus resident life events that happen through the dorms and whatnot. Like this year I ordered for my for my floor organizing in Hall Golf Tournament where I set up like nine holes on my hallway and had my residents go through with that. That was one of my one of my best memory so far with my floor. I mean the Brotherhood and exciting and everyone. Just like putting golf balls down the hallway. It was.

Jenni Duran
09:27:07 PM
the buses are also usually free to students I believe
Residents like a lens, two events come to my mind. I live in handsome Hall, so not Zacks Hall and we had an event where it was case testing about where we compared the popeye's chicken Sandwich in the Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich so we all got 2 chickens launches one night, but my favorite far has to be one of Zack's events actually that he had in the student union. He had ordered pizza and then we were painting Bob Ross.
Cody Walsh
09:27:40 PM
How much do the buses cost?
Rachel Gomez
09:27:43 PM
What are some of the clubs at Holy Cross
Like they got us canvases and paint and we were just following a Bob Ross tutorial and we painted some mountains at night and it just.

09:27:56 PM
Thank you so much!
Man, that that sounds really relaxing a lot of fun. We have a very good question from Emily Galindo. What opportunities have you found at Holy Cross in relation to your major miners examples, internship, community outreach, etc.
Stephanie Nunez
09:28:15 PM
Where do you see that Holy Cross could grow or what was something about Holy Cross that didn't meet your initial expectations?
Yeah, it's a great question. Um Pre Med Wise there's tons of opportunities you can go work down at Memorial Hospital, Begin Memorial Hospital. I had a wonderful opportunity to shadow under an ER doctor named Doctor Zimmer, fantastic guy and he brought me in for one of his shifts and gave me, you know, gave me the opportunity to interact with patients and see how he goes about his day in the ER. It was a really immersive experience.
So that's just one of the really many experiences and opportunities that you can connect yourself with their Holy Cross.
Sophia Di Piazza
09:28:53 PM
as a senior in high school im looking to make a decision soon, so why do you think i should choose HC?
I think, yeah, so right now I'm actually in the internship process for for psychology. Now that I'm going into my junior year, but we there is a course that we have to take called common, good, practical and I was very lucky to take that freshman year and I went to let go. So that means that which is located on the West side of South Bend.
Alexis English
09:29:20 PM
Do any of you play sports for Holy Cross? If so how is the school/sport balance?
Elenna Gonzalez
09:29:22 PM
How flexible is class scheduling for those with full time jobs?
Um, and so I was. I always knew I wanted to work with kids and so being able to work with one like kids in general, but also kids who are actually minorities or kids who don't have like the resources that I was able to have as a kid. You know, being able to speak to them in Spanish and it will play with them. Read with them, interact with them and it does speak. And all of the social aspects that I do learn in psychology.
Anthony Marcopoli
09:29:38 PM
How do you major in engineering at Holy Cross? Do you plan to transfer to ND?
Yeah, with theology there's obviously with the Tri Campus. Great different opportunities, not only being to tear for the Saints and scholars program that typically counts as a internship or just getting involved with campus mystery. It's a lot of development to with in seeking to expand this with some more academic fellowship.
Karl Carlson
09:30:08 PM
Hello do you have roommates with you in the dorms?
And like I said, the common good come is also really good. I am taking this assessor and before we went to distance limit, two was volunteering at La Casa so especially with Notre Dame 2 there's always like really good events. For those of you interested in theology, solossa fee and stuff to really delve into professional development with that as well.
Good, we have a question from Nicholas. He asked you guys know anybody who writes for your school newspaper or his dreams of being a journalist.
09:31:00 PM
To Ashley's question... yes! Students at HC, ND, and SMC can all take classes at the other institutions.
Camille Taylor
09:31:09 PM
Do a lot of students have on campus jobs? Are on campus jobs available?
I know one person who writes for the neutering observer which is I try campus newspaper serving Ner Dame St Mary's and Holy Cross and he actually wrote about lacrosse to getting a lections for semester and talked about different things with those as well.
Yeah my are a freshman. Year was doing the same thing. He was writing a sports section for The Observer or for another day newspaper and then now he's actually working writing for the sports section of an actual newspaper of South Bend which is pretty cool transition.
Patrick Sullivan
09:31:25 PM
Can you play intramural sports at ND?
Yeah Mike, Mike Ivy got. He's doing great things.
Um, we have a good question from Samantha Dasilva. She asks what do you like to do outside the try campus in South Bend?
09:31:38 PM
Yes, the bus is free for HC students!
What's going on in the community?
There's some awesome places. Yeah, you can go see movies at the movie theater. There's different shows that are like musical shown at the Performing Arts Center. I know they showed land is possibly The Lion King unless they got cancelled.
And there's a ton of beautiful, beautiful spots by the River. Great places like to go rollerblading or biking or wherever they set up an ice skating rink that's outside. What is it called in?
Beautiful new part that they set up down there, so that's a few that I know I don't know.
There's also some really good training. Is Downton sandwiches like a five minute drive from Holy Cross that some obviously the South Bend Properly Cafe got their ice creams and chocolates, but interesting, there is the Chicory Cafe. It's this New Orleans of wound and styled cafe with different drinks and food options. They got some fresh 10 years. They always make. It's a really great place to be there.
Catherine Ficker
09:32:42 PM
yes, Camille, we have on-campus student employment opportunities. Zach works in the library, and Dane and Florecita work in the Admissions Office.
And the local Cup is also a great cafe too.
Kevin Stein
09:33:04 PM
Hello Dr. Griffin!
Yeah, I'm a big fan of 'em all always going there with my friends. You know, just going, hang out, eating some chick filet or going clothes, shopping for some boba. Or you know just to spend some random time at the mall. But also my friends we went to that they are stopping usually has is like fun at all, not amusement parks, but like little carnivals and so those are really fun to check out too.

09:33:11 PM

09:33:15 PM

There's also a statement to Metro North of campus, and that's always a fun place to go at 2:00 AM.
Bri Bentley
09:33:21 PM
When did you guys start looking into colleges, I'm a sophomore and no one in my grade that I know of is looking at colleges like I am
Chris Nicknish
09:33:21 PM
How many clubs are there at Holy Cross
You have to get those half price shakes, don't you think?
Stephanie Nunez
09:33:24 PM
Have you struggled financially or had to worry about affording your studies at Holy Cross? If so, how did you address it and did the financial aid office help?
So we have time for one more question and this will be from Sofia. Sofia asks as a senior in high school. I'm looking to make a decision soon, so why do you think I should choose Holy Cross?
There you go. It's a good question.
Holy Cross forms you in all areas, faith academics being a leader all around, being a human being.
09:33:51 PM
Kevin - yes, the tri-campus is great for bikes!
Have grown as a human being academically and as a leader as NRA, an in faith, just tremendously. I would not be the person I am today without Holy Cross. That's what I have to say about that.
Yeah, so when you cross it becomes a family from that very first day walk in walking through that Gateway Arch, hearing your name, shaking your hand with the president of the college and meeting your classmates. Holy Cross becomes a family from the very get go and serious really matters here at Holy Cross and there's so many different ways to grow. Like Zach said, not only academically, but as a person, whether you're bald and faith, life or internships or whatever at Holy Cross.
There's always a way to make you feel included and make the best of your four years.
09:34:42 PM
Zacchaeus - average class size is 15
Because we truly care about you and we're here for you. We're creating that network of solar citizens news disciples for tomorrow.
Yeah, um, you know Zack and a night here with you know the wise words. I think definitely going with Dane time by family if you wanna place that as corny as it sounds like, doesn't see you as a number but sees you as a person. Holy Cross would be the place to go. You don't just grow academic in your academics, but like Zach and then have been saying you grow in all aspects. There's so much more to a person than just being a student. An Holy Cross offers you to grow, you know, in a professional setting.
Rachel Gomez
09:35:29 PM
I chose Holy Cross because every person that I talked to made me feel welcome and included. I never felt like an outsider.
When your faith in your community all, if that's what you're looking for it to be, you know a well rounded person in all aspects Holy Cross is replaced ago.
Yeah, these are. These are really great questions guys. I wish we could answer all these but there's only so much time available. If you want you can either text us email us, give us a call whenever we also have opportunities for scheduling one on ones with your councillors via your student accounts and so that's a great opportunity. And who knows, maybe with that raw and the turn out this maybe we could have another one of these Q&A's with students. Possibly. What do you think, Jordan?
Hey John, I was just thinking the same thing so I was taking a look at the chat there. How everybody my name is Jordan Shank. I'm directora enrollment at Holy Cross College and I've been watching as a viewer and I'm going to jump in to say hello myself. Thank you for tuning in. Whether you're as close here in South Bend like I am, I'm from my home here in downtown South Bend my new office for the time being actually and.
Others who have really tuned in from coast to coast. It's been exciting to watch these questions come in and these are very valuable questions. Although we've run out of time tonight, I do want to remind everybody that we have a few more of these planned out in April. And because this was so successful, we had so much interest in so many questions I think will add maybe one or two more and will bring a lot more students into. So we want to make sure that these type of questions about the student experience get answered. Something maybe another.
Nolan Santacroce
09:37:23 PM
Thank you for a great Q and A!
A Q&A with current students where we just run and only do audience questions because that has been so popular and we've gotten so many of them. As John said, if you go to the admissions homepage, H cc.nd.edu/admissions, you're going to find the registrations for the upcoming events will keep that updated as we add more events. But as John said, we also have the opportunity for anybody to plan a schedule, a one on one.
Virtual meeting with somebody from the admissions office. So since we're not accepting visitors on campus, we've created this virtual meeting opportunity for parents or students. Seniors in high schools. Those have been admitted, those who might be sophomores in highschool, whoever you might be and where you might be in your college search process. You can register for one of those meetings and have a nice chat one on one with somebody from our admissions office office, and then, if you are thinking about financial aid questions, I saw a few questions come in about.
09:38:00 PM
